Unmarshal and Umbrella Network to support Smart Contracts with Price Feeds
User expectations appear to be rising as the web3 space expands at an exponential rate, with users desiring a seamless experience that integrates real-world and on-chain data. In addition to on-chain data, the smart contract developers we serve have felt the urge to incorporate real-world price feeds into their smart contracts. We are pleased and proud to announce a formal strategic alliance with Umbrella Network — the first truly decentralized oracle service. Because Umbrella is a pioneer oracle, the collaboration with them was quite organic and evident. Our collaboration will enable developers to link two types of datasets: First-Class Data (FCD) and Layer 2 Data (L2D). First-Class Data will include some of the most commonly used data sets and will always be available on-chain. Layer 2 Data, on the other hand, is a comprehensive data set that includes crypto pairs, indexes, implied and realized volatility, and so on.
Umbrella Network, on the other hand, is providing Unmarshal with MARSH-USD price feeds to support the in-house applications that we hope to build in the future.
Our alliance is expected to significantly increase the throughput of blockchain applications, reducing the amount of time and cost required to bring real-world data on-chain.
